Reduce the threshold of proposals

We submitted our first proposal on the irishub mainnet two days ago, but it seems that the threshold for the proposal is a little bit high

So what do you think of the following suggestions:

  1. Reduce the Participation Threshold of all proposals to 2/3
  2. Set the Pass Threshold of the Critical / Important / Normal Level proposal to 3/4, 2/3, 1/2

Reducing the threshold seems wise, but I have the following questions:

  1. Cosmos seems to have pretty good figures when it comes to governance, why not looking at their model?
  2. What is the point of having 3 categories: Critical/Important/Normal? Are they really necessary or are we making things more complex when this is not actually required?

Looking forward for other opinions/answers to my questions.

Reducing the threshold level to 2/3 seems reasonable.
But as @syncnode mentioned, I don’t think Pass Threshold variation will change much. Urgency of the governance proposal should be indicated by some other way than Pass Threshold.
